Client Appreciation Luncheon

As the year's end draws near, I'm reminded of all the ways my life has been blessed by those who
have allowed me to be their Sisterlocks Consultant. In an effort to show appreciation a fellow
consultant (Elizabeth Stubblefield) and I hosted a Client Appreciation luncheon earlier this month. We enjoyed spending time with those that have enriched our lives in immeasurable ways. We ate, laughed, shared hair tips, took pictures and just had a good old time. Truly it was a most memorable occasion,
can't wait to get together again! Thanks to our photographer Shannon McDuff for the great pictures!

Mission Accomplished after 24 Hours

I'm still recovering and so is she, 24 hours from start to finish. The locking session was certainly not a cake walk but the journey has begun for my new Sisterfriend.  My client had worn her hair
in its natural state for the past ten years. The length of her hair was approximately 9 to 10 inches long, about an inch was trimmed prior to locking.  The locking session was broken up into three appointments. Our time was filled with laughter, listening to oldies and reflecting on inspirational thoughts from  Iyanla Vanzant, "In the Meantime".  Please check back periodically and look for these
gorgeous locs and their progress. I promise you each stage will be different.

Greetings and welcome to my Locs of Luv blog page, I look forward to sharing my Sisterlocks journey with you. Sisterlocks has been for me a liberating decision. For the past twelve years I've enjoyed the freedom of wearing my hair in its natural state. Long gone are the hours spent in beauty salons waiting, waiting and then waiting some more. Now that I'm freed up from the long waits at the salons I spend a great deal of my time assisting others to come home to Sisterlocks. From time to time I'll post Sisterfriends & clients that are happily loving their locs of luv.

Shalom

Happy Birthday!....What an amazing journey

I spent my 12th year anniversary doing what I enjoy most and thats meetng new people, from 8:00-1:00 I was at the Holiday Bazaar where I shared my Lilla Rose clips with a group of lovely ladies. From there I prepared to go to a community outreach in San Marcos Ca., this event was hosted by Be Amazed Again, a ministry that's committed to reaching out to the communities in which its members reside. The event started at 5:30, we played games, carved pumpkins, ate, passed out treats and had loads of fun. Needless to say it was a full
day.

Locks Loops/Soft Spikes

Two products that I love to use to style my hair are Lock Loops & Soft Spikes, the results are beautiful, the curlers are quite similar with one notable exception, the Lock Loops lock in place. To use I dampen my hair slightly with water, roll the hair onto the curlers and let dry. For tighter curls use smaller amounts of hair and leave the curlers in longer.
